Principal's Message

 Woodridge Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I’m Suzen Holtemann, and I’m honored to serve as the new principal of Woodridge Elementary School. I’m beyond excited to join the Wildcat community and look forward to partnering with you to ensure our scholars experience a meaningful, inclusive, and enriching school year.

I bring over two decades of experience in public education and a deep passion for scholar success and equitable access for all learners. Before joining Woodridge, I had the privilege of leading both elementary and secondary schools in the Natomas Unified School District. I have also supported district-wide initiatives focused on Multilingual Learners and literacy, and I began my career as a bilingual teacher, which continues to shape how I lead with equity and empathy.

At Woodridge, we’ll be focused on three core priorities:
  • Maximizing academic growth for every scholar
  • Building strong partnerships with families and our community
  • Fostering social-emotional well-being in a safe, supportive environment

I believe in leading with heart, building authentic relationships, and creating systems that uplift both scholars and staff. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and challenged—and every family should feel connected and valued as a vital part of our school team.

I encourage you to stay involved through our school website, ParentSquare, and by attending school events and meetings throughout the year. And please don’t hesitate to stop and say hello—I look forward to meeting you and learning what makes our Wildcat community so special.

Here’s to a year filled with growth, connection, and meaningful learning—together.

With gratitude and excitement,

Suzen K. Holtemann
Principal
